There is a quiet confidence to the music of Steve Leaf. He hails from Michigan and cut his teeth in the singer/songwriter circles of Chicago. He has been writing songs for over fifteen years.
His latest release ‘Twelve Songs’ due out June 11th is a collection of tracks borne out of a desire to record during quarantine. Without the ability to collaborate with a band, he opted to take a deep dive into the world of synths and drum machines. The digital melodies and beats woven together with acoustic and electric guitars plus layers of Steve’s close vocals have the album grounded in an analog world.
Having toured around the midwest and east coast playing guitar with the likes of Chad Stokes (Dispatch), Marc Cohn, and The Crane Wives, Steve is well suited to put his own foot forward this time around. He is excited to bring these songs to life live on stage.
