Boy Scouts, Bullies and Indian Creek: It Happened in Marion

 This wholesome and intriguing tale is written for children aged nine to twelve. Close friends, Patrick Oxley and Darius Foitle, the only African American boy in town, and Patrick’s brother, Bobby are confronted with problems created by bullies, drug dealers and racism. A compassion for animals that results from hunting and trapping adventures develops new life values. A teacher encourages them and the girls in their lives to take on a project that improves the environment. In school, the kids learn that pollution has deteriorated their environment, so they devise a way to mobilize the youth into doing something about it.
