monTe micHel bLeu BIO

monTe micHel bLeu (a/k/a Michel Dasse) has drifted in and out of the regional music scene for decades. His music career has been like the 10 Little Indians tale. "My music path began in a six piece band as a teenager, and over the years has dwindled down in increments to; quintet, quartet, trio, duo, and down to these (infrequent) solo appearances. The logical progression would be for me to now vanish into thin air."

monTes solo debut was in 2006 when invited to perform at singer/songwriter Riley OConnors Songwriter Showcase at Mishawaka, Indianas legendary Midway Tavern. "Up until then, I never imagined playing as a solo, the mere notion petrified me. But that evening I found a true liberation in presenting my compositions in such a naked way. Within that bare bones type of performing, theres a unique and intimate chemistry & bond between artist and audience, playing songs as they were written, one instrument/one voice."

monTes original compositions might fall under "contemporary roots based Americana"; as styles draw from folk, traditional country, delta blues, and roots rock idioms. Revered mandolinist Molly B. Moon has offered; " (His) songs are as melancholy as leaves falling on a crisp autumn day."

monTes favored food group is pie.
